You can spend minutes, hours, days, weeks, or even months over-analyzing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could've, would've happened... or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move the fuck on. - Tupac Shakur
You know as a child, an innocent child, I didn't ask to be in foster care. My own actions didn't put me there. These were parental actions, these were systematic actions, these were societal actions. I had the divine experience of being touched by God before being touched by anyone else. When God touched me, it said I am intended and I am not alone. I was shipped all over, abuse to abuse, none of these "stewards" seemed to care for righteousness. So, I ran. It is the intelligent thing for a child to do when someone or something larger is trying to take it out - Run; that's why its taught to children. I remain an excellent listener. I was then labeled criminal.. for running away from danger that hurt me, scared my body, and threatened to kill me. With God, I had the good sense to know that it was not the act of running for which they labeled me criminal and hunted me only to hurt me. I was labeled criminal for the audacious behavior of acting as if my life mattered within a society that had decided African lives don't matter hundreds of years before my birth, in a spiritual dominion that is written to "Hate Me Without Reason" by prophesy thousands of years before my birth for my seal and favor from The Most High God that favored Jesus. [John 15 Kjv]. I survived.
I would come to know, later in life, that my biological cellular make up runs through a river named Ogun, on what the society I'm born in calls "the slave coast". Another woman, Yemoja, long ago - she came from that river too. Societies all over our globe light candles in veneration to Yemoja - called "the great mother" of all Orisa... The Virgin Mary. The Virgin, The Virgo, of Sapphire - True Blue - The Navigator, Love. Me. I am a wanted woman from inception. Should I cry for this? I survive.
I didn't ask for Chiari Malformation, this rare thing which I was born with, which was thus written before me to occur in my adulthood always. This thing, which a wicked society uses to keep me captive, drain the wealth in me and of me by force, in this evil dominion. This is a test, for the good in society as well as for me, a test of truth and action and position; a question needing to be answered: Is love the greatest of all things? Love causes us to do the right things - more than law. I am a question for you, what do you love? I know what I love and how love is manifested through me. I am a child of The Most High God. I am full of amazing love and blessed to be loved amazingly. For this I suffer, I am hunted, persecuted, they wish to martyr me. All I have chosen and all I have done is to believe and move on, I survive. [Eph. 6:10-20]
My earnest prayer is to live, but if I don't live, my prayer is to be remembered as my Great Mothers are remembered, love. [Psalms 23, 35, 91 and 94]
